It also performed well during our cooling test, but we aren't fans of the gimmicky handles or flimsy crisper bins.
One thing that makes the RF23M8090SG apart is the Bespoke line that lets you personalize your fridge with removable colored panels that can be swapped when you're bored of the current ones. There are 11 color options, ranging from pastels to more vibrant hues. There are also four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized with photos or text making the fridge a personal feature that can be matched to your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
The LED lighting can be switched to a different hue, which is a nice option. The interior of the fridge has a sleek finish that minimizes smudges, and makes cleaning easier. The only real drawbacks of the RF23M8090SG are its crowded beverage center, and it takes some effort to open the door-indoor feature which houses a water dispenser and a pitcher. You must feel for an unmarked lever on the underside of the door midway across, and once you have it you will be able to open a second door within the fridge that contains the docking station for the pitcher as well as the water dispenser, and two shelves for drinks.
The 6.8 cubic feet freezer compartment is large enough to store plenty of frozen food. It also comes with a slide-out drawer that allows you to access the food you want without opening the entire compartment. There's also a butter-bin-style compartment inside the freezer that allows for simple storage of small items and a large capacity drawer that can hold larger frozen items. The drawer can be locked with a password to keep intruders out, and it includes a handy LED light to allow you to see the contents at an instant. The freezer's also able to track energy use and help you reduce your energy consumption with the SmartThings that are smart and enabled with Energy mode.

It also has a few annoying problems. Our test data indicates that the FGHB2866PF warms up quite some in the freezer, and could get uncomfortable warm on the refrigerator's outermost shelves. It might not appear too awful at first glance however, it means that the fridge is spending a large part of the time at 33 degrees.
